Lectures & Trunk Shows presented by Beverly Kirk
Hello Quilt World Friends! I would be pleased and delighted to present a class, a trunk showing of my quilts, or a lecture for your organization! Enjoyably, I cover a broad range of topics and quilt styles for us to learn from each other to be inspired to continue our passion for quilting. I’ll need at least two people to help hold the quilts, and two tables to lay out my quilts. One additional table is needed for vending patterns, etc. Projector and screen are required, unless otherwise discussed.
Workshop Requirements
I will provide the supply list for the workshop(s) when the contract is received. I am happy to provide workshop descriptions and photos for publicity purposes. To teach a workshop/class, the standard sewing/quilting supplies apply for each student (sewing machine, rotary cutter, seam ripper, cutting mat, etc.). The workshop needs to have ample ironing stations/cutting stations to accommodate all students in the class. A design wall is preferred. A design wall can be flannel/batting taped to the wall, flannel backed tablecloths or portable design walls.
Rates for 2025/2026
● Trunk Show/Lecture: $400 plus expenses
● Half Day Workshop: (3 hours) $550 plus expenses of pattern/kits/rulers (only in conjunction with same day lecture). Other options will be detailed in the contract.
● Full Day Workshop: (6 hours) $850 plus expenses
Fees for all workshops are based on a class load of up to 20 students. Up to 10 additional students may be added for a fee of $25 per student.

All lectures/classes will be delivered virtually. The same rates as above apply. A moderator is provided for an additional $30 per lecture and $50 for a class. No recordings will be permitted without express written consent from Beverly Kirk.
The guild may have up to 20 guests at each lecture.
Workshop maximum students is 20. Up to 10 additional students may be added for a fee of 25 per student. If more than 10 additional students are requested, consider adding another session.
Each virtual classroom seat is good for ONE viewer (students may not “sit in” if they have not paid their own fee for classes.)

For guild/organization/shops within 90 miles of my home, no lodging will be required, however round-trip mileage (at the current federal rate) and tolls are required. Locations farther than 90 miles may require lodging and airfare or mileage/tolls/fees. Engagements over the course of two or more days may also require lodging. The guild will also provide instructor meals on teaching days and/or reimbursement.

If for any reason the guild/organization/shop needs to cancel the contract prior to 45 days before the contracted date(s), there will be no cancellation fee. If the guild/organization/shop cancels within 45 days of the contracted dates, the guild/organization/shop will be responsible for paying a $100 cancellation fee. If there are conditions beyond our control (blizzard, hurricane, a death in the family, etc.) the contract may be terminated without a penalty payment assessed by either party. A rescheduling of the program may be an option.

Payment is due at the conclusion of the program. For virtual lectures and classes, payment is due upon completion via agreed up method. (options for payment include PayPal and Venmo)
